Hello,
Welcome to a new school year!! My name is Marie Coleman and I live in Wilson, North Carolina, but I am originally from the great state of "Mississippi". Let me share a llittle something about myself. I worked as a teacher's assistant for five years and after being in the classroom, I knew what I had to do. I graduated from Mississippi Valley State University in 2004, and I taught kindergarten for three years as a certified teacher. I later moved to North Carolina in 2007 where I now reside as a first grade teacher at Sallie B. Howard School of the Arts. I have two beautiful children and that's what inspired me to do what I do as a teacher. I thank God for the teachers that enouraged and taught my children what they needed to know to accomplish their goals. That's why I want to give back to other children what they need to continue their journey through education. My motto is : Every child can learn if given the opportunity. I am looking forward to educating your child this year!!!!!!
My teacher assistant is Ms. Terryoka Crump. She is 28 years old and was born in Lexington, North Carolina. She graduated from UNCG ( University of N.C. in Greensboro.) She has a degree in Communications and a minor in Biology. She have been employed with Sallie B. Howard for three and a half years. Her desire is to do whatever she can to make sure that the children is learning. I am very greatful for my assistant and we're going to have a great year.
